BIO

David earned a bachelors’ degree in Business Administration from St. John’s University and did post-graduate studies at the University of Minnesota. He has led facility management, property management, and real estate investment management teams for global real estate companies, principally, JLL, Grubb & Ellis and WeWork, and for global financial institutions, notably, Citibank and UBS. Over his more than 25 year career, his leadership responsibilities includes significant portfolios of facilities, investment properties and debt assets. 

These responsibilities were national and multi-regional in-scope and he developed a skillset to meet the multi-faceted needs of these assignments: P&L management and accountability, leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, financing and refinancing, leading outsourced teams, risk management, customer relations, value creation, operational excellence, data standards and compliance.
Highlights of accomplishments from this experience include increasing the business unit’s profitability 30%, asset managing mutli-asset real estate portfolios in excess of $1B and over $10M SF, renegotiating debt totaling $575M, developing & deploying a global data standards & governance program, earning 3 ISO certifications (Health, Safety and Environmental), and initiating a centralized emergency response platform.

David is a Certified Property Manager and member of the Institute of Real Estate of Management (IREM), a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), a member of International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and CoreNet.

He has coauthored whitepapers on the topics of Complexity of Compliance and Redefining Executive View of FM
